Cassie V. Tolentino

  1991-present

Mother of two children.

Ms. Cassie, as the preschool children would call her, has been employed at KBC Preschool for 20 years. She started working  as a young Teacher's Aide back in 1991. While working part time, she attended Honolulu Community College to pursue her Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and graduated in 1993. She then became an Assistant Teacher as well as a Substitute Teacher. When one of the teachers retired, she took the opportunity and became a Teacher. As years went by, she was offered twice to become a Director, but yet she wasn't ready. About four years ago, the offer was presented a third time, and she enthusiastically said, "YES." That was the best decision she has ever made in her life.

Growing up, she learned many things about Jesus but working for KBCPreschool helped her gain valuable knowledge and a better understanding of the Word of God, and His importance in our lives. She eventually asked Jesus for guidance and continues to give all her heart to Him. Being a part of KBCPreschool gives her the opportunity not only to teach the children the academic aspects, but also to share God's Word and love to the children. She loves working with children, and everyday she goes to work, it feels like she is one of them.

Her favorite Scriptures is from Proverbs 22:6,

"Train up a child in a way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it."
